The Curriculum
SIRS
is affiliated to the CBSE Board with classes from Pre-Nursery to Standard X.
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is the Board of Education
for school level in India of Central Government.
It affiliates all Jawarhar Navodaya Vidyalayas, all Kendriya Vidyalayas, private
schools, all the schools in the
NCT of Delhi and Foreign Schools.
The board conducts final examinations every spring:the All India Secondary
School Examination (AISSE) for class 10 and All India Senior School Certificate Examination
(AISSCE) for class
12. The board also annually conducts the AIEEE exam for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture
in numerous colleges spread over India.
The emphasis at SIRS is on education and not only on syllabi. The school
is committed to an international education in
order to allow the children maximum versatility in their future lives.
Musicals, art, drama and public speaking are important components of
the curriculum.
The school sports a large range of co-curricular activities, aided by talented teachers,
experts and
parental support. The Reading Programme allows detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each child, and
the reading Club promotes good oral expression of the written word. Team and individual sports are a central part of
the experience at SIRS.
